Gelatin Printing & Book Making

Turn your lovely gelatin prints into a book in one day! First, you will focus on creating beautiful one-of-a-kind monotypes using a gelli plate, acrylic paints, a brayer, stencils, masks, stamps, and other printing tools. You will layer opaque and transparent color, play with textures and stenciled patterns, and print without a press onto a variety of papers—textured, smooth, waxed, and colored. You will discover what you can do with a brayer to create patterns. And you will undoubtedly fall in love with your cleaning paper! After a short lunch break, you will focus on making a pamphlet stitched, big button book using your monoprints as covers and/or interior pages.
